This is the Month of the Rosary . . . and provision is explicitly made in the Dominican books for the Blessing and distribution – whether on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, or on Rosary Sunday (which was, admittedly, yesterday) – of candles, or of roses.
They are contained in the Rituale Romanum at Nos. 37 and 38 of the Appendix ‘Benedictiones Propriæ’ (or, of course, pp.151-2 of the Dominican ‘Libellus’).
If you’re a priest, and don’t happen to have a copy of either of these, but want to have the prayers so that you can use them on Thursday (and I’m sorry, but I don’t have them in English), then let me know.
