For the benefit of non-Londoners, this is the map of the central part of the Tube system in London - slightly extended down as far as Wimbledon for His Holiness' benefit ! - which makes it clear, I think, that the Circle line (the yellow, bottle-shaped line) is of great importance to the rapid and easy movement of large numbers of people around Central London . . . and, of course, it makes access to both sides of Hyde Park very easy (Kensington High Street and Notting Hill Gate) - particularly from most of the major mainline stations bringing people in London : very convenient for the many thousands who will be going there tomorrow . . . no ?
No : because the Circle line is, apparently, closed all this weekend.
Now that's what one calls really sensible forward planning !

You know, that almost has to be deliberate. You can't tell me that they didn't know for a few months in advance that many people wouldn't want to use the circle line, ERGO, someone in charge of these things hates the Catholic church...not only do they hate the church, but they are going to get away with it, smugly pretending: "Well, gee if we'd only known."
ReplyDeleteWhich REALLY ****es people off, because then they have to compound the insult by imagining people to be so stupid as to "not notice" that they are getting away with being this massively insulting. Pack of clowns running things.
